Fantastic Fest Shorts Program Includes The Dungeon Master, Co-Directed by Boy Meets World's Driver Strong

Sure, Driver Strong has been doing a lot of stuff since his days about the ABC series Boy Meets World, but far whether it is from me to pass through up an opportunity to title drop that TGIF classic! Since his days playing Cory Matthews’s Best friend Shawn, Strong’s ongoing to do something and started pointing, co-helming the Dungeons & Dragons-designed short The Dungeon Master with brother Shiloh, that is set to screen at the following month’s Fantastic Fest. Following the jump, watch the film’s trailer and obtain the entire listing of genre shorts playing in the Austin festival. The Dungeon Master stars Adam Busch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Alexander Polinsky (Charles in control!), Chris Wylde, Travis Shuldt, Chad Crone, and Alexandra Barreto and features the next synopsis: “After they uncover these were both fantasy nerds as kids, Shane and Cooper choose to spend a evening playing Dungeons & Dragons. However they cant recall the rules, so that they invite a genuine gamer to assist them to. When he turns up inside a cape, things get awkward very rapidly…” Sounds just a little Knights in combat of Badassdom-esque, just with D&D rather than LARPing. But nonetheless! So ideal for Fantastic Fest, the annual genre film festival that happens this season in Austin from September 22-29. (The feature line-up includes Lars von Trier’s Melancholia, Kitao Sakurai’s Aardvark, Timecrimes director Nacho Vigalondo’s Extraterrestrial, Ti West’s The Innkeepers, the American horror indie You’re Next, the Australian serial killer thriller Snowtown, and also the Christopher Doyle-lensed pink film Underwater Love. Also about the docket for that recently introduced shorts program: Stop motion animator Sofia Carrillos’s haunting short Black Toy (trailer here), the Brandon Routh-starring Living costs (images here), and a number of envelope-pushing worldwide works. Mind towards the Fantastic Fest website for that full shorts program announcement.
