My boyfriend keeps pushing me to start singing on youtube for exposure but I'M scared bc of the way I look?

Hes also my producer  we've been working together for 2 years, I have
original songs now he says he wants me to start doing covers to get
more exposure but I am really embarrassed bc Im overweight  want to
lose about 40-50 more lbs before i start doing covers  performing on
stage. He keeps saying i dont look big  that i need to stop worrying
about it but i cant i feel like ill look HUGE on camera  am super
self conscious  I am heavier im not some girl thats 120lbs and thinks
shes fat

any advice?
