NBC Saddles As much as Another Western Project
NBC is heading West. Again. The network has given a script order "The Frontier," the 2nd Western project the network has make the pipeline this development season. Occur the 1840s, Frontiers involves an organization who follows their dreams and heads West from Missouri over the uncharted country. Cold Situation executive producer Rob Cassidy will executive produce the project, with Paul Frank and also the West Wing's Thomas Schlamme, who does direct the pilot if the project advance. The project originates from The new sony Pictures Television. The script order for Frontier may come as Westerns continue being very popular, with AMC set to premiere its approaching series Hell on Wheels, set throughout your building from the Union Off-shore Railroad within the 1860s. NBC purchased a script late recently from Universal Television and Friday Evening Lights producers Pete Berg and Liz Heldens referred to like a Western story told from the female perspective. ABC and CBS have David Zabel's Gunslinger and James Mangold's Rob Lamb, correspondingly. A&E also offers the pilot Longmire, in regards to a widowed sheriff in Wyoming, and TNT has purchased Gateway.
